Youth Work Project
This project provides opportunities for young people aged 14 - 19 to experience various aspects of cultural activities. It includes a weekly youth club in the Welsh second language somprehensive schools.

Writing Sgwad
Over the past few months a number of children have been enjoying creative writing sesions at the Welsh Centre. Organised by Menter Merthyr and Merthyr Tudful Council, the authoress Catrin Dafydd has been leading the young people through the proccess of writing their own work. We’ve had a lot of fun so far and the next session takes place on Saturday May the 26th at the Welsh Centre. Here is some of the children’s work

School of Rock!
Over the past six weeks pupils of Rhydywaun have been turning it up to 11 and following in the footsteps of Jack Black. The Canolfan's Ysgol Roc is an opportunity to play and learn with other musicians with everybody having a chance to jam whatever your abilities. The Ysgol Roc will continue every Monday night between 6-8p.m. free of charge and anyone is free to join us.
